The Chase Bays Compact Windshield Washer Reservoir for bolt in use on Toyota / Subaru ZN8 | ZN6 chassis is for those who want to retain windshield sprayers but are tired of the massive factory piece. Whether it be to open up space to clear an oil cooler, intercooler piping, or just to clean things up...a compact windshield washer tank is long overdue for car enthusiasts. This can also be used for Intercooler / Radiator Sprayer.
For mounting the reservoir itself we've designed a bracket that bolts to the existing ZN6 | ZN8 ABS unit bolt while still clearing the ABS unit. This allows for easy refill and an aesthetically pleasing look. The ZN8 will retain the factory wiper pump so no wiring changes need to be made, just remove it from the stock plastic tank and install onto this reservoir via the provided vinyl insulated loop clamp and single allen head bolt. However, the ZN6 will most likely need our pump but, use the below photo to verify which factory pump you have. If your pump looks like the ZN6 pump be sure to select the ZN6 option. The ZN6 option comes with our provided pump.
One thing to be careful about is mounting the reservoir higher than the hose exit if this is used as a cooler sprayer. Usually the windshield wiper motor is mounted at the lowest point on the car and the sprayers are on the hood so it's no issue. The windshield washer motor does allow for the fluid to pass through some which means it can leak out the hose exit if the reservoir is mounted higher. The fix is simple, an inline check valve.
